From the island of Hokkaido comes Etsu Gin, which features a fantastically floral selection of botanicals including tea leaves and yuzu. Quite excellent in a G&T, but it can also be served over ice with a sprig of mint if you're a big floral gin fan.

The Asahikawa Distillery
Etsu Gin is distilled at the Asahikawa distillery in Hokkaido. Hokkaido is the second largest of the four main islands of the archipelago, but the second least populated. It is located in the north of Honshu island, separated from it by the Tsugaru Strait. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Sea of Japan to the west and the Sea of Okhotsk to the north. During the Meiji period (1868-1912), the island took its current name: Hokkaido, which means "the way of the North Sea".
